Church Doctrine

We believe the Bible is God’s Word. It teaches us how to relate to God and how to live a life that is pleasing to Him, 2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1:23-25; Matthew 4:4. We believe in one God who is perfect in all of His attributes and in everything He does. But God also exists in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, 1Timothy 1:17; John 1:1; Acts 5:3-5. We believe that Jesus Christ became a man, lived a sinless life and died to reconcile us to God. He was resurrected and exalted over all creation, Matthew 1:18; John 14:9; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 4:23-25. We believe that man is created in the image of God but is fallen and sinful and can only be reconciled to God through the death of Jesus Christ, Genesis 1:26-28; Romans 5:12-21. We believe the church is the body of Christ throughout the world. Each local church is a representation of Christ’s body. Christians are commanded to be baptized, and unite with a local church for the purpose of spiritual growth and service, Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:41-42, 47. We believe in the return of Jesus Christ to earth in order to judge mankind and to reward believers with His everlasting presence Titus 2:13; John 14:1-3; Revelation 21:1.
